Hi Michael, I have a three axis Bendix FCS 810 Autopilot in my 74 V35B and it works very well, simple to learn, and easy to use. If you are considering a purchase of an airplane which has one, I highly recommend that you find a copy of the Operator's Manual so that you will better understand how to pre-flight it and better understand its limitations. If the one you are considering is working, be aware that there are shops that will still support it and its components (contrary to what you might hear from your local avionics shop).
