When I load any of the Studio Instruments, the VST's GUI appears along with a prompt: 'SI-(Bass Guitar/Drum Kit/Electric Piano/String Section) is not properly installed. Please reinstall it using your original CD.' I click 'OK' and the GUI is still there and working, but with no sound, obviously. I already looked through the installed folders (C: Program Files (x86) Steam steamapps common Cakewalk Studio Instruments) and found all the Mulitsamples and Resources there.

I purchased SONAR Platinum 2017. This means something is blocking inshelp in the Steam Install script. The usual cause of this is: 1) Windows Updates Pending - This will block windows console commands registering 2) Windows User Account Access - This will block a console command from being elevated with Administrator privleges.

First thing I would do is make sure any updates are finished and make sure Windows has been reset. Next, make sure you launch Steam as admin.

Howto here: Then, right-click on SONAR in your Steam Client. Go to properties > Local Data. Then click on the [verify application cache] button and allow steam to finish. Then launch SONAR again and allow Steam to go through the script. This should complete and the SI-Instrument Suite should be installed correctly.
